Popped in for a weekend brunch with my mates. The bubble and squeak was spot on, really hit the spot. Staff were lovely and chatty, didn't feel rushed at all. Perfect for a lazy catch-up.

The staff here are so lovely and attentive. They remembered my name from a previous visit, which was a really nice touch. Makes you feel properly looked after.

Been coming here for years for the fish and chips. The batter is always spot on - really crispy and light, doesn't feel greasy at all. Chips are fluffy inside, just how I like them. A solid, reliable choice.

The food's still the main draw. Had the lamb shank again and it's as tender as I remember, maybe even richer. The new owners haven't messed with a good thing where it counts.

The lunch set is good value at £25 for three courses. The presentation was nice, service was prompt.

Been coming here for years. The bacon and venison pie is always solid, proper hearty stuff. Even the cabbage on the side has some thought behind it. You can tell they don't just chuck things on a plate.

Portions are generous, packed with flavour. Our waitress was very professional and helpful with her recommendations. She also handled a special request without any fuss. Solid service.

Been coming here for years. The homemade cakes are the real deal, always fresh. Ended up grabbing an extra slice for the train ride home. Can't help myself.

Been going here for years, it's a proper village pub. The Sunday roast is always spot on, the lamb and pork are cooked just right with all the trimmings. Can't fault it.

We have had many meals at the Smuggiers Rest Peacehaven in the past for different occasions as it is quite close to home, We booked this our 28th wedding anniversary at short notice, And had another very enjoyable meal looked after by a very attentive waiter called Addison which made it all very pleasant meal/evening,

The fish was the star for me - the batter had this perfect crisp and the inside was so moist. Chips were a proper portion too. Just a really nice, friendly spot to grab a bite.

Popped in for an afternoon tea with a big group, last minute. They set us up in the garden, which was nice. The scones were warm, clotted cream was spot on. Everyone seemed happy with it.

First time trying their seafood linguine in Hove. It was packed with fresh mussels and prawns, really hit the spot on a chilly evening. The pasta itself was perfectly al dente.

The staff were so attentive for my mum's birthday. They noticed our little celebration and brought out a small dessert with a candle without us even asking. It was a really thoughtful touch that made the evening feel special.

Classic burger was solid. Patty and bun quality stood out, no weird aftertaste. Even had a cold leftover slice the next day and it held up. Decent for the price.

Came here with friends on a packed Saturday night. The chicken and chorizo dish was so good for this time of year. Staff were really on it despite the crowd, which made it easy for us to just relax and chat.

Fish finger sandwich was spot on, crispy and not greasy. The leek and potato soup was a proper winter warmer, really hit the spot. Just what you want for a quick, no-fuss lunch.

Popped in for a drink and caught some live music. It’s a nice vibe, feels like a proper local spot. They seem to have events on quite often.

The lamb was cooked just right, and that fruity dessert was a dream. Staff were so lovely, they even did a little something extra for our anniversary. Really made us feel special.

We held a 70th birthday party here for 35 guests. The food was pretty good—everything arrived hot and looked nice on the plate. The toilets were spotless, which is always a good sign. A decent spot for a group booking.

Lovely garden with a play area, perfect for a relaxed family lunch. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole visit feel so easy. Just a note, it can get a bit busy on weekends.

The vegan mushrooms on toast were a real find! So flavourful and clearly homemade. Love that they have a full vegan menu with cakes too. A solid spot for plant-based eats.

The full English breakfast is the real deal here. The black pudding is properly spiced, and the bacon is thick-cut and crisp. The coffee is strong and rich, which is exactly what you need with a fry-up. A solid, no-fuss meal.

The tasting menu was a bit of a splurge, but honestly? The flavours were so thoughtful. Left feeling just right, not stuffed.

Staff handled our group expanding from 2 to 14 people without a fuss. Got us seated together and service stayed solid all night.

The cinnamon buns here are the real deal. Perfectly warm, gooey, and that icing... just right. It's what keeps me coming back. The place itself is spotless and the staff are lovely, but honestly, it's all about that bun for me.

Great spot for a sunny afternoon drink. The people-watching is a bonus. I had their house rosé, which was crisp and refreshing. A bit pricey for what it is, but the location is convenient with parking nearby.

Been here a few times. The beetroot vegan pizza is a solid choice, really hits the spot. The apple and pecan salad is fresh, good for a lighter bite. Staff are always friendly, makes it a nice local spot.

A decent pub, especially nice at Christmas with the festive garlands. The red ceiling and seating are comfortable for a relaxed visit. The food was pretty good, though my main arrived a little later than expected.

Decent portions for the price. Good spot to grab a bite with mates, especially if you catch one of their daily deals.
