Breakfast spot I kept returning to during my Derby trip. Their scrambled eggs are consistently light and fluffy, which is harder to find than you'd think. Good quality ingredients across the board. The central location is very convenient.

Love this spot for a quick, hearty breakfast. The staff are genuinely nice and the place is spotless. I always grab their big breakfast roll before heading to work—it keeps me going till lunch.

Been coming here for ages, and it's always the same – in a good way. The crew's always busy, but you know you're getting a proper, reliable feed. That's what keeps me coming back.

Food was nice, and it's a quiet spot - perfect for catching up with friends without shouting.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. I really appreciated the new vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu - the mushroom pasta was lovely. A very comfortable spot for a relaxed lunch.

Apple's a lovely host, makes you feel like a regular. Her personal touch is what keeps me coming back.

Been coming here for Thai food for ages. The halal chicken green curry is my go-to – just the right amount of spice and the chicken is always tender. Portions are huge though, I can never finish a starter and a main!

The two-person sharing platter was the highlight. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, especially the grilled vegetables and the lamb skewers. The traditional way it was presented added to the experience. The place definitely has that authentic, family-run vibe.

Great for a casual catch-up with friends. The portions are huge, so you can definitely share a few dishes.

The full English breakfast is a generous portion for the price. The bacon was crisp, the eggs runny, and the black pudding had a good, rich flavour. Everything tasted fresh.

Really appreciated how they handled our mixed order. Called to confirm the vegetarian dishes, even offered veggie fortune cookies. That attention to detail makes a difference when you're sharing a table.

The new owners have kept the historic charm but the portion sizes are a bit on the small side for the price. My fish and chips was tasty, just not as filling as I'd hoped for a classic pub meal.

The staff kept everything moving so smoothly at the buffet. Never felt rushed, and the food stayed hot.

As vegetarians, we were really pleased. The staff listened and made a custom curry and starter platter for us. A nice change from the usual options. The curry was pretty good, though the rice portion was a bit small for sharing.

Grabbed a quick lunch here. Tried a few tapas, all tasty and came out fast. Nice little spot out back to eat. Good for a speedy bite.

The coffee here is always spot on, and the staff are so lovely. They even helped me carry my tray to the table when my hands were full. Really nice touch.

Took a minute to find it, Google Maps had it on the wrong side of the street. Ended up being on the left. Had a coffee and a bacon roll. Roll was fresh, bacon cooked just right. Good spot once you're there.

Popped in for a quick lunch and was out in 14 minutes! The Massaman curry was spot on—properly rich and comforting. Got a huge portion for the price, too. Just what I needed.

The staff was friendly and attentive. They made our anniversary dinner feel special.

Been getting their pizzas for a while now. Always spot on, never a letdown. The folks there are proper friendly, makes a difference.

Nice spot for a break. The seating is comfortable, which made it a relaxing stop. Coffee was good, though a bit pricey.

The starter platter is perfect for a quick bite. Gets you a taste of everything without the wait.

Lovely spot for a family lunch. The decor is beautiful, really sets a nice vibe. Service was spot on, attentive without being overbearing. Prices felt fair for what you get.

Popped in for a quick bite. The Scotch egg was spot on, really good with a proper pint of bitter. Simple, no-fuss pub grub, just what you want sometimes.

Tried their three-course dinner with a big group. The service really stood out, made the whole thing smooth.

Been here a few times, always for the toast. That thick malted slice is proper doorstop bread, just how I like it. Good to see oat and soya milk for the hot drinks too. It's simple, but they do it right.

Freshly cooked dishes with the all-you-can-eat option, but portions can be a bit small.

The black menu has some interesting dishes you don't usually see. I liked that they used really fresh veggies in the stir-fry.
