The lentil waffle is still my go-to here. Savory, filling, and the price is right. Staff's always been friendly whenever I stop in.

The Vital Plate salad was pretty big for the price, honestly. I got it for lunch and it held me over the whole afternoon. Greens were fresh, not sad and wilted like some places. They rotate the menu which keeps it interesting if you come often. Just wish they had more dressing on the side, but that's me being picky.

Lovely little spot to sit outside with a coffee after shopping. The people-watching is great too. Just wish the outdoor seating had a bit more shade.

Nice terrace for pasta and pizza outside. Service a bit slow, but they were still on it. Solid spot.

The truffle pasta really stood out—rich flavor, cooked perfectly. I wasn’t expecting much but it honestly hit the spot. Staff were friendly too, though nothing over the top. Just a solid dinner, no complaints. Would come back if I’m in the area again.

The mixed grill and fattoush were solid for what we paid. Card payment made it easy to split with my friends. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. 😊

The flat white with oatmilk was too milky again — barely tasted the coffee. Still, their beans are top-notch, so I’d come back for a proper pour-over.

Nice place for a drink, but paying through the hotel room charge was a bit of a hassle. The seating area felt a little cramped though.

The grilled octopus starter was really good. Tender, a bit smoky. Staff were nice about explaining the menu when I couldn't decide. Place was pretty busy but I didn't feel rushed. Solid spot if you're in the area and want something simple.

The owner’s genuinely friendly, makes the place feel easygoing. Desserts were solid, though the interior’s a bit tired. A nice glass of wine would’ve made it even better.

The steak here is smoked first, then grilled — came out exactly how I asked. The bone marrow butter on the side was the highlight, honestly. Portion felt decent for the price, not one of those places where you pay a lot and leave hungry. I'd come back for that butter alone.

The ricotta omelette was a solid pick—fluffy, not too heavy. Coffee surprised me though, really good. Nice spot to sit and wake up slowly. Maybe a tiny bit slow on service, but I wasn't in a rush. Would come back for that coffee alone. ☕

The dry-aged steak was properly juicy and had that deep flavor you don't find often. Bread with herbed butter came warm, which was a nice start. Staff checked in just enough without hovering. Slightly pricey but fair for the quality. Solid choice if you're after a good steak in Cologne.

Generous portions and you can actually ask for less spice, which I appreciate. Had the paneer dish, felt fresh, not heavy. Outdoor seating was nice too.

Came for dinner and honestly the sushi was the highlight. Tuna tartare was good too, but the portions are on the smaller side. Paid around €60 per person and left still a bit hungry. Papaya salad was fresh though. Nice place inside, but I'd say you're paying more for the vibe than the actual quantity.

Nice view from the terrace, that's the main thing. Food was okay, nothing special. Service a bit slow but friendly. Honestly you're paying for the panorama here. Fine for one drink, wouldn't come for a full meal.

The lunch special is a solid deal — the curry came out hot and the portion was generous for the price. Nothing fancy about the place, but the seating area felt a bit cramped. Still, for a quick Thai fix, it does the job.

The margherita here was solid—fresh basil, good chew on the crust. Prices felt fair for the quality, which is rare in this area. Service was a bit slow but the pizza made up for it.

Stopped by for dinner with a couple of friends and honestly, the portions were huge for the price. We shared a few dishes and left properly full. The vibe is chill, not too loud, so we could actually talk. Service was friendly, though we waited a bit for the bill. Solid spot in Kalk if you want a relaxed evening. 😊
