The flammkuchen was solid and the fries came out properly crispy. Prices are fair for what you get. Good spot if you're in the area.

Stopped by for a quick dinner last week. The own-brewed beer was solid, nothing fancy but does the job. Had a Bulgarian dish that was pretty hearty, good for a cold evening. Place has that local vibe, not too crowded with tourists. Service was fine, though it took a bit to get the bill. Decent spot if you're in the area and want something simple.

Nice spot right by Oosterpark. Sat outside on the terrace, plenty of shade which I appreciated. Service was friendly without hovering, got my drink quick. Good place to just sit and watch people go by. Only thing, the seating could be a bit more comfortable for a longer stay. But fine for a casual stop.

Dropped by without expectations and honestly left pretty satisfied. Got the daily special, cooked properly, no complaints. Staff was friendly enough, not overbearing. Menu's on the smaller side but I kinda like that—means they focus. Place gets busy around dinner time though, so don't expect instant seating. Fine for a casual bite.

Came here for a casual drink with a friend and the view really did it for me. Lemonade was super refreshing, perfect for a warm afternoon. Food’s a bit hit or miss though—one dish was tasty, the other just okay. Still, nice spot to hang out and chat for a while. 😊

Service was solid - staff kept checking in without hovering. Food came out hot and at a good pace. Nice spot for a low-key dinner. Been here a few times now, still consistent.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Steak was solid, cooked right. Place is easy to find, modern inside. Staff didn't keep me waiting long. Good spot if you need a decent meal without fuss. A bit pricey for lunch maybe, but fine.

Stopped by for a few drinks with friends last week. Beer list is solid, nothing crazy but well chosen. Bartender knew his stuff when I asked about the IPA. Place fills up fast after ten, got pretty packed. Fine if you're in the mood for that energy, just don't expect a quiet chat later on.

The terrace sits right on the canal, and you get a proper view of the old facades while you eat. That alone makes it worth stopping by. I had the apple pie with a gin and tonic — solid combo, nothing fancy. Prices felt fair for Leiden, though the seating is a bit tight if you're there during busy hours. Fine for a casual stop.

The salmon sandwich really is something else—fresh, nicely done, easily the best I’ve had here in the Netherlands. Chef Kristina definitely knows her way around it. Place had a good buzz when I stopped by, staff seemed like they actually enjoyed being there. Only thing, it got a bit busy around noon, but that didn’t take away from the food.

Food was decent, nothing fancy but cooked well. Staff really looked after us. Sat in the garden bit which was nice on a sunny afternoon. Prices are fair for what you get. Not a place I'd drive across town for, but if you're nearby it does the job. Maybe a bit busy at lunchtime.

Been coming here for a while now. Cocktails are consistently good, that’s mainly why I keep going back. The space is a bit hotel-lounge though, not really a proper bar vibe. Fine if you just want a quiet drink and not too much atmosphere. Prices are what you’d expect for the area.

Decent spot for a drink. Cocktails were well made, nothing over the top, but solid. Service was professional too, even though it was pretty busy. Staff kept things moving, which I appreciated. Location is convenient, easy to find. Wouldn't go out of my way, but fine for a casual drink if you're in the area.

No. 14 of Bars in Amsterdam

Stopped by for dinner and grabbed a glass of their house red — paired nicely with the duck confit. Cozy spot, old-town vibe is really charming. Food’s solid for the price, nothing fancy but done right. Service was friendly enough, though it took a moment to get the bill. Would sit at the window again.

Great coffee and the tosti hit the spot. Cute little village spot with easy free parking nearby. Perfect for a chill catch-up with friends ☕

Stopped by for a beer after work. Good selection, staff was chill. Didn't try the food though. Place had a nice relaxed vibe, not too crowded. Solid spot if you just want a drink and some quiet. Maybe a bit pricey for some, but fine for what it is.

The basement DJ was solid, but honestly the music upstairs at the main bar worked better for me. Gets a bit cramped near the bar if you don't grab a seat early. The open seating area though — that's where I ended up staying, easy to just talk without shouting. Bouncer and bartenders were chill, no attitude.

Decent gastropub with a proper drink list. I had the burger, it was pretty good. Portion size was generous, could barely finish. Menu has more variety than your usual pub, which is nice. Fine if you're in the area and want something reliable. Maybe not worth a special trip, but I'd go back.

Stumbled in for a quick bite and grabbed a bittergarnituur at the bar. Solid draft list, bartender was on it. Good spot for a fast lunch if you're in the area.

This place is a hidden gem with fantastic homemade bitterballen and a unique atmosphere. The friendly staff really adds to the overall experience!

Came here with a couple of friends on a weekday evening and honestly, the place is tiny. Like, we were basically elbow-to-elbow with the table next to us 😅 But that kinda made it fun? Very cozy vibe. Food was really good though, we shared a few plates and everything had solid flavor. Only thing is the wine pours are a bit small for the price. Definitely go early if you want a proper seat.

Nice cocktails, bartender knew what he was doing. Got some free snacks too. Place gets a bit warm when it's busy though. Solid spot for a drink.

Solid wine list and the daily specials were decent. Staff actually took time to explain things without hovering. Place gets a bit busy after eight but that's fine for a weeknight.

Lovely view of the boats from the canal side. Grilled salmon was decent, portion big enough that I couldn't finish. Maybe slightly touristy but the setting makes up for it.

The bitterballen were spot on—crispy outside, gooey inside. Tried a local beer the bartender suggested, decent pick. Good spot to catch a match if you're into that.

This pub has a fantastic atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a lively evening with friends. The service is friendly and attentive, making it a great spot to unwind.

Heated terrace is a solid plus, especially when it's chilly out. Right by the windmill, so the spot is pretty unique. Came here on a Saturday, got busy fast but we still found a seat. Fine for a quick bite and a drink, nothing fancy. Service was quick enough for a lunch stop.

Stopped by for a drink, stayed for the jazz band. Good vibe, fair prices, and not packed with tourists. Solid spot for a quick break.

Been coming here for a while now. The Italian sandwich is still solid, bread's got that nice chew. Staff remembers me, which is always a plus. It's tucked away a bit, so you don't get the tourist rush. Good spot if you just want a quick bite and a beer without the hassle.

The cakes were really good, and I liked that they had a few vegan options. Staff were friendly enough. You could tell they put care into the place.
