Just the chef and one assistant. Sat at the counter and watched him cook everything. Felt really personal, like a private show. The food was good, but the whole vibe was the best part.

Stumbled in after skiing, cold and tired. The steamed chicken rice was just 1000 yen. Simple, warm, and exactly what I needed. The steam rising from the bowl felt comforting.

Came for the grilled chicken, and it was as good as I remembered. The meat was juicy, with a nice char. Paired it with a local red wine that had a bit of spice, which worked really well. A solid choice when you want something reliable.

The grilled saba was perfectly cooked, and the stir-fried kimchi had such a genuine taste. The booth seating was very comfortable, which made the whole meal quite relaxing. Just a nice, straightforward dinner.

The beer selection on tap is really nice. They use fresh ingredients in their cocktails, which I appreciate.

Stopped in after a day on the slopes at Happo-One. The quiet jazz and relaxed vibe were just right. Had a hot toddy that really hit the spot—the whiskey they used was a nice choice for warming up. Staff were friendly. A solid spot for a post-ski drink.

This place has such a cozy, lived-in feel. It's like eating in a friend's warm kitchen. The ginger pork was really tender, and the banana chocolate cake was a perfect, simple end to the meal.

The duck soba was just right. A really comforting bowl, and the gyoza were simple but done well. Felt like a warm, honest meal.

The omurice was the highlight for me. The egg was incredibly fluffy, and I really appreciated the use of saffron in the rice. The demi-glace sauce was rich but not overly heavy. A very satisfying and balanced meal.

A very cozy, traditional spot. The unagi was delicious, and the soba was clearly handmade. I'd love to come back to try their soba and char fish. The only thing is the wooden stools can get a bit hard after sitting for a while.

Been coming here for years. The sashimi platter is always fresh, never had a bad one. That's why I keep coming back.

Found this spot near Hakuba Station in the snow. The stir-fried pork set was simple but tasted really good.

The noodles are made in-house. Ordering at the machine is quick and straightforward. A solid, dependable option for lunch.

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a casual dinner. The charcoal-grilled meat is delicious and adds a unique flavor.

Blizzard Hakuba offers a great selection of pizzas, and the service is top-notch. I especially appreciated the staff's efforts to create a welcoming environment.

Came here every night on my trip. The happy hour vibe is just so cozy, and the staff always remembered my name by the second visit. That little touch made all the difference.

Farm-to-table freshness really comes through. Had the grilled veg plate on the terrace. Hakuba view is a nice bonus. Everything tasted clean and simple.

The Wagyu steak here is truly exquisite, melting in your mouth with each bite. It's a must-try for any meat lover visiting Hakuba.

Atsuko mama was very accommodating. I called ahead for a gluten-free option, and they had a nice plate ready. The service was friendly and made the whole thing easy.
