The three-color soba was so thick and chewy. Really enjoyed the texture. The green tea and matcha flavors came through nicely. A bit on the pricey side, but it was a nice, quiet lunch.

The curry was pretty good. Not too oily, which I liked. Had a decent amount of shrimp and veggies. The self-serve iced green tea was a nice touch on a warm day. A solid choice for a quick lunch.

Decent spot for a traditional meal. The skewer selection is pretty good, had some chicken and scallions. The chicken was fine, though the scallions were a bit too charred for my taste. A solid choice for a casual dinner.

Been here a few times. Food's always good, but the staff is what keeps me coming back. They remembered I liked a certain seat, and the owner gave me some solid tips on quieter spots in town. Just feels like a local place.

Juicy fried chicken, crispy crust. Gold leaf fries are big soft potato chunks. Perfect after a park walk.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The salmon on the belt was surprisingly fresh for the price. Usually places like this are hit or miss, but it was solid. Good spot when you're just passing through.

Been coming here for years. They always remember the little things, like seating us by the window.

Been coming here for years, and the tempura rice bowl is still my go-to. The crab leg is always crisp, the batter light. Just like their dinner courses, honestly. That consistency keeps me coming back.

Just tried the old fashioned honey and cherry blossom donuts. They were warm and fresh, not heavy or greasy at all. The cherry blossom one had a really light, floral taste.

The chawanmushi here is fantastic. It was so smooth and the flavor was just right. I really appreciated how comfortable the seats were, made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal.

I'm a vegetarian and the pasta here was spot on. The salad was fresh, not just an afterthought. Service was attentive without being overbearing. A nice, relaxed meal.

The view from the top floor is the main reason I go. You can see Kanazawa Station perfectly from the window seats. It's a nice spot to unwind after work.

The katsu curry here is the main thing. The pork cutlet is crispy on the outside, stays juicy inside. The curry sauce has a deep, savory flavor, not too sweet. Good portion for the price. A solid, no-fuss meal.

The owner cooks each dish to order right in front of you. The tonkatsu was perfectly crispy, not greasy at all. The miso soup had a deep, savory flavor. That personal touch makes a difference.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxing, making it a great place to unwind. The fruit platter was generous and delicious, and the staff were exceptionally friendly.

Restaurant in ANA Crowne Plaza KANAZAWA by IHG

Shogyotei is a gem in Kanazawa, offering a fantastic Kaiseki experience. Each course was unique and flavorful, making it a memorable dining occasion. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine.

Came in pretty late, but the staff was so chill and attentive. They didn't rush us at all, just made sure we had everything. Felt like hanging out at a friend's place. Really nice vibe to end the night.

The fried pig's brain and onion had a texture I wasn't expecting, almost like creamy cod roe. The aroma was really pleasant. Honestly, it was surprisingly good!

The menu here is way more interesting than the usual spots in my neighborhood. I tried the grilled mackerel with yuzu kosho – the fish was cooked just right, skin super crispy. A nice change of pace.

The pancakes were so light and airy. I liked that they weren't too sweet. The server suggested a light, sparkling white wine with them, and it was a surprisingly good pairing. Made for a relaxed Sunday morning.

The staff were really nice. They cleared our plates quickly and even helped translate the menu for us. Made ordering a lot easier.

Loved the cozy vibe in this old thatched-roof place. The elderly couple running it are so sweet. Had their signature curry - the warmth from the spices was just right on a chilly day. Felt like visiting a kind aunt's kitchen.

A solid neighborhood spot. The curry is always exactly what I expect - warm and comforting. Perfect for catching up with a friend when you just want something familiar and easy.

The food was spot on, especially the grilled mackerel. But the sake list felt a bit steep for what you get. Ordered one carafe and that was enough for me.
