Loved the decor here, it's got that cosy pub vibe without being too dark. The live singer was a nice touch, just the right volume for a chat. My Dalmatian was very happy with the treat too!

The ribs were good, meat fell right off the bone. The chips and slaw were fine, but the portion felt a bit small for the price.

Had to try the new menu. The grilled octopus with smoked paprika was a real standout – tender, with a nice char. A bit pricey, but I’d come back just for that dish.

Belle was so welcoming and attentive, really made the evening. She gave us a couple of great recommendations that we wouldn't have tried otherwise.

Popped in for a Sunday roast on a whim - they squeezed us in, no fuss. The roast beef was spot on, really tender, and the Yorkshire puddings were proper fluffy. Just what you want on a lazy Sunday.

Stumbled upon this place while walking by the river. The garden out back is lovely and quiet, a real escape from the city heat. Had a simple lunch here, it was nice. Saw a few families enjoying themselves too.

Decent selection of beers on tap. Prices are a bit high for the area though.

Solid pub classics and some more refined options too. The portions are generous, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. I really appreciated how comfortable the seating was - not something you always find. Made for a relaxed meal.

Service was efficient for our group of 8. The waitress was attentive, kept drinks topped up and handled the separate bills without fuss. Made a busy Friday dinner run smoothly.

Decent curry for a Thursday night. Good portion size, tasted fine. The lounge area is nice for a quick pint after. Bread was a bit greasy though. Does the job for a quick bite.

Nice to see solid vegan choices alongside the classics. The wine list had a good pairing for the mushroom dish.

The Sunday roast was spot on. The beef was cooked just right, still pink inside, and the Yorkshire pudding had a nice crisp edge. The chocolate cake with custard afterwards was a good choice, the custard was warm and not too sweet.

Nice spot for a quick pint. Staff were friendly, and they’ve got a little playhouse and some toys to keep the kids busy. 👍 Good for a relaxed afternoon.

The fish and chips were spot on - super crispy batter and those triple-cooked chips were a game changer.

Been here a few times for a quick lunch. The sandwiches are consistently decent, solid choice for a business meeting nearby. The pub itself has a nice, relaxed vibe.

Been coming here for years, and the beer garden is always a winner. Plenty of space, and they've got those shaded tables sorted for when the sun's out. It's a proper spot to settle in. The cider on tap is a bit limited, but that's my only gripe.

Bright and spacious pub. Good spot for people-watching with that view of the pedestrian area. Drinks are reasonably priced. Just a relaxed vibe.

They've clearly been working on things. Staff were more attentive this time, service felt smoother. My main course arrived hot, which is a basic thing but makes such a difference. A step in the right direction.

A welcome stop after cycling. The beer garden was lovely for a pint in the sun. Staff were friendly, and it seems a good place to catch a match.

Pies and burgers were spot on. Freshly cooked, not just reheated. Menu had enough variety to keep it interesting. Solid meal.

The chicken katsu burger was a real find. Just the right amount of heat in the sauce, really hit the spot. Great spot to catch a game too.

The fish and chips were spot on - lovely and crispy. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff were really friendly. My only small note is that the seating was a bit snug for a longer meal, but it was still a nice, easy lunch.

Been coming here for years, and the halibut and chips is always spot on. Huge portion, cooked perfectly. Even on a busy Friday, they found us a table on the lawn. That consistency is why I keep coming back.

The front garden is a total sun trap. Grabbed a pint out there on a sunny afternoon and it was just the spot. Could've sat for hours. Nice little escape.

The house-brewed pale ale here is the standout. It’s got a really crisp, hoppy bite that cuts through, not too heavy. Perfect with the salted nuts they put out. The stout was a bit too sweet for my taste, though.

Lovely garden for lunch on a sunny day. Plenty of seating. My only gripe? The portion size for the fish and chips felt a bit small for the price. Still, a nice spot to sit outside.

The fish was fresh, no doubt. But for the price, the portion felt a bit small. The lemon soufflé was nice, though.

The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of fresh fruit and options. They were a bit slow to refill the hot items, though.
