The steak and ale pie is always a solid choice, and the fish and chips are reliably good. What really makes it for me is how comfortable the seating is - you can settle in for a proper meal without feeling rushed. A nice, easy spot for a quiet dinner.

Love the modern pub vibe tucked away on a side street. Their West Coast IPA was fantastic, really crisp and hoppy. The bratwurst was good too, proper mustard and kraut.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. They really made an effort to make my kids feel comfortable, which was lovely. It’s a small thing, but it makes the whole meal so much more relaxed for everyone.

A lovely old pub with a proper log fire. The atmosphere is nice and cosy, perfect for a quiet pint with a friend. The decor feels authentic. It was a bit busy on a Saturday evening, but still a pleasant spot.

The interior here is a pleasant surprise for a chain pub. They've kept some lovely original features, like the ornate ceiling and those old photographs. A decent glass of red felt right at home in that setting.

A lovely, cosy spot. The sea bass special was really nicely done, and the sticky toffee pudding was just right. What stood out was how comfortable the seating was – you could settle in for a while without feeling rushed.

The desserts here are so good! We shared a few slices of cake after our meal, and it was the perfect way to end a catch-up with friends. The service was really friendly too.

Lovely spot right in the centre, with a view of the water. The building has such character, with low beams and a really cosy feel. I noticed the menu had some nice, fresh-sounding salads, which is always a plus for me.

Great spot for a relaxed evening. The staff were happy to chat about the wine list, which had some interesting local options.

Right by the river next to the old bridge. Such a lovely spot. The light on the water at dusk was just perfect. A bit of a walk from the car park, but worth it for that view.

Perfect spot for a quick lunch. Grabbed the ribs, they were tender and tasty. Came out fast, which is what I needed. Good portion for the price. 👍

I had a great time at the country music event! The food was delicious, and the drink selection was impressive, especially the cocktails.

They really get it if you have a dog. Our guy was totally welcome, even got a water bowl. Plenty of space for him to chill under the table. 👍

Stopped in on a quiet Monday. The home-cooked food was really good, portions were huge. Friendly landlord too. Just what you need on a slow night.

Sunday roast is solid. The roast potatoes were crispy and the Yorkshire puddings were good. Everything tasted fresh.

Great spot if you're exploring Gunwharf Quays. The parking nearby is a real plus.

The 24-hour menu is a lifesaver for late-night cravings. Food was good, and the place was surprisingly quiet at that hour.

The gluten-free chicken and leek pie was spot on. A proper find for a coeliac, and no extra charge for the GF menu.

Been coming here for years. The outdoor seating is always nice, especially when you're just off the train.

The food here is a step up from your usual pub fare. My fish and chips were pretty good, with a decently crispy batter. The service was a bit slow, but everyone at our table seemed happy with their meals.

Stopped in for a pint and ended up staying for dinner. The landlord was really friendly, had a good chat. Classic pub grub, solid fish and chips. Just what you need on a random Tuesday.

Birthday dinner. Staff brought out the cake with candles and sang. Made it feel special for the family.

Dog-friendly, which is a nice touch. They had treats for our pup, and the parking right outside made it easy. Food was decent, though the service was a bit slow.

Lovely garden area for the dog. Menu's got a bit of everything, so the kids were happy. My steak was cooked just right, but the chips were a bit limp.

Loved the generous portions here. Josh and the team were brilliant. A solid spot for dinner in the New Forest.

The Veltins pilsner was spot on. What really got me was the space itself—high ceilings, those big industrial windows, and just enough room between tables so you don't feel packed in. A solid spot for a quiet pint.

Loved the relaxed vibe here. The interior is so beautiful, just the right kind of cosy. Staff were lovely too. Food was proper home-cooked and tasty.
