Beautiful cafe with friendly staff and live music.(Traditional Hungarian band playing the classics.)I had the Hungarian beef goulash soup with homemade dumplings which I really enjoyed. No booking necessary they are great accommodating walk-ins.

Restaurant in Anantara New York Palace Budapest - A Leading Hotel of The World

No. 1 of Must-Visit Restaurants in Budapest

Great spot to get work done — wifi was fast and the seats were comfy enough to stay a while. Coffee did the job too. Would come back with my laptop for sure.

The Guatemalan pour-over was solid. Way better than the usual chain stuff around here. Price was fair too, less than what you'd pay at Starbucks for something blander. I'd come back just for that. Didn't try the food, but the coffee alone did it for me.

Lovely spot to sit with a book and a slice of cherry pie. Warm vibe inside, though seating’s a bit tight if you’re planning to camp out with a laptop.

Stopped by for a morning coffee and grabbed a cappuccino. Warm, drinkable, nothing fancy but it hit the spot. Staff were friendly enough. Sat outside, which was nice. Would’ve liked a bit more of a wine list for later, but for coffee it’s fine.

The nitro flat white was a fun twist—creamy and smooth without any added sugar. The batch brew from Peru was also perfectly brewed.

The retro interior is a nice touch—lights and furniture give it character. Pizza was solid, prices normal for the center. Weekday lunch is easier to get a table. Terrace is a plus in summer.

Nice spot, drinks were solid. Outdoor seating has a good view, especially when the sun starts going down. Just wish the chairs were a bit more comfortable.

Nice spot inside, easy to get to. My hot sandwich came out lukewarm though, coffee was scalding. Service fine, but honestly you're here for the vibe, not the food.

Stopped by for some bonbons — the flavor combos are pretty creative, not your usual stuff. Picked a few random ones and they were all solid. Staff was chill too, let me take my time deciding. Place is small but that’s fine. Good if you’re into chocolate and want something a bit different.

Stopped by for a late afternoon drink — the coffee-based cocktail caught my eye and honestly it didn’t disappoint. Nice balance, not too sweet, went down easy. Service was on point too, checked in just enough without hovering. Place has a relaxed vibe, good for unwinding. Maybe not the cheapest, but you’re paying for the quality. I’d come back if I’m in the area again.

We stopped by on a Saturday night and the live jazz was really something. The place is small, so we were glad we booked ahead. Sitting close to the stage felt special, but the chairs are a bit hard after an hour. Still, the music made up for it. A proper jazz bar, not too touristy.

Stopped in for a latte and the New Yorker cheesecake. Coffee was solid, cake had that dense creamy texture I like. Tiny spot in the center, easy to grab and go.

The flat white and coconut chocolate cake worked really well together. Upstairs was quiet enough to actually focus with my laptop for a while. Just the right spot when you need a bit of calm.

The Esterházy cake here is really good, probably the best I've had in the area. The place has a nice old-school charm to it, fits the location across from the Opera House. Prices are fair for what you get. Only thing is we waited a bit long for the bill, but the staff stayed polite about it. Solid spot if you're after a decent slice of cake.

Been coming here for a while now. The chicken and veggie wraps are still solid, that's mainly what I grab. Works well with a coffee too, makes for a decent quick lunch. Not the cheapest but the quality stays consistent, which is why I keep going back. Just a reliable spot.

Tiny spot, but the parsnip soup was spot on. Goat cheese sandwich worked well with it. Homemade lemonade tasted fresh. Place gets crowded fast though.

Stopped by for a hot chocolate with rum — hit the spot on a cold day. Came back later for wine and calamari wraps. Marcel took care of us, quick and friendly. Prices are fair for what you get. Solid spot if you're nearby and want something easy.

The strawberry lemonade with lime and orange in it was so refreshing next to the Nutella and strawberry crepes. Both came loaded with toppings, really generous. I just wish the seating was a bit more comfortable, but honestly the food made up for it. Nice little spot to grab something sweet.

Nice little place for a quick coffee. The iced tiramisu latte was solid, staff even told me how to drink it properly. Prices fair, plus you get a discount if you bring the receipt back next day.

The sugar-free chocolate mousse cake here is genuinely good—I kept checking if I was imagining it. Didn't miss the sugar at all. Staff was nice too, though the place got a bit busy around 4pm. Worth grabbing a seat by the window if you can.

The animals look genuinely well cared for, which I appreciated. Homemade cakes were decent, though a bit pricey for what you get. Staff friendly enough.

Stopped by for a quick evening with friends. Huge board game collection, mostly Hungarian but they have a decent English section. Staff pointed us to a couple of good options without hovering. Drinks were fine, nothing special. Place gets a bit loud when it's full, but that's expected. Solid spot if you're in the area and want a low-key night.

Been coming here for years and the goulash never disappoints. Had it again last week with some Tokaji. Still as good as the first time.

Stopped in for a light bite since it was right in my hotel. The beef goulash was hearty, just what I needed on a cooler evening. Salad on the side was fresh enough. Had a glass of Tokaji with it—still not sure that wine pairs well with goulash, but the server was happy to pour me a taste first. Attentive without hovering.

Best ice cream I found in Budapest, hands down. Got the pistachio and dark chocolate, both were solid. Place is small, a bit crowded, but the guy behind the counter was quick. Prices fair for the quality. Wish I lived closer, honestly.

Stopped by for a quick coffee before my flight. Opens early, which helped. WiFi held up fine for checking emails. Place is basic but does the job. Right by the airport bus stop, so location's hard to beat. Prices are fair for what you get. Not somewhere I'd go out of my way for, but solid if you're in the area.

The lighting in there is really warm, makes you want to stay longer. Coffee was solid, pastries looked good too.
