Great for a quick bite with a group. Food came out fast and hot, staff handled split bills easily.

My wife and I went for dinner on a Monday night. The pub wasn't too busy which was lovely. We were quickly seated and attended to. Drinks were ok but the startes and sharing plates were great! Well seasoned and presented. Highly recommend the chicken karaage. Our mains were generously sized but a bit lacking in flavour. We had pork belly (saved by the tasty sauce) and sea bass (needed salt). All in all a lovely meal and we would visit again if in the area.

A lovely old pub, but what really stood out was the freshness of the ingredients in my salad. The greens were crisp and the chicken tasted so clean and well-prepared. It felt like a proper, healthy meal in a pub setting. A nice change from the usual.

Popped in for a quick bite. The staff were really friendly even though it was packed. Had the fish and chips, it was solid. Beer choice is a bit limited though.

The courtyard tables are so lovely on a sunny afternoon. We ordered a bunch of their small plates to share—the grilled octopus was a standout, perfectly tender with a nice char. A really nice spot for a relaxed catch-up.

Sebastian remembered us and our dog from last time. That personal touch really stood out. He was attentive without being overbearing, and his recommendations were spot on. Made the whole evening feel a bit more special.

Proper local pub, lovely atmosphere. They have a good selection of ales and the staff are friendly. It's very dog-friendly too, which is a nice touch.

The pepper soup here is the real deal, packed with heat and flavour. The jollof rice had that perfect smoky depth you don't often find. Portions are huge, I couldn't finish mine. A solid spot for proper Afro-Caribbean cooking.

Staff were so lovely and attentive, really made us feel welcome. Food was great, but the best part was how relaxed it felt - perfect for catching up with friends without feeling rushed.

Jack and Mo at the bar are the best. They remember your name and your drink. Makes it feel like your local.

Popped in with a couple mates. The vibe was cosy, almost romantic - bit of a laugh for us. Food was spot on, really tasty. Staff were dead friendly.

The churros are the only thing I come here for. They're crisp on the outside, soft and warm inside, with that perfect cinnamon sugar coating. The chocolate dip is thick and rich, not too sweet. I've tried the French toast, it's fine, but honestly, nothing compares to those churros.

The bartender really knew his rums. I told him I usually go for something dark, and he suggested a specific one that was spot on. Friendly chat, no pressure. The rest of the team seemed nice too, but he made the visit.

Ana was brilliant! She was so attentive to our table and everyone else's. Made our little catch-up feel really special.

Loved the historic building. The vibe inside was surprisingly relaxed, not stuffy at all.

Booked a table for a big birthday do. The food came out quick and was cooked just right. Lauren, Meg, and Yvie at the bar were lovely, really friendly service. Made the whole thing easy.

Claire was so attentive, really made our Sunday lunch feel like a celebration. The roast was good, but honestly, it was her service that stood out.

Clyde the dog is a lovely touch, makes the place feel really welcoming. But honestly, the portion sizes for the price? A bit on the small side. My fish and chips was tasty, just left me wanting a bit more.

Popped in for a quiet pint after work. The staff were really friendly, and the new menu is a big improvement. I had the fish and chips, which was spot on. A comfortable place to unwind.

Been coming here for years. The new loos are a nice touch.

The duck pizza really stood out. The base was super thin and crispy, just how I like it. The duck was flavourful and not too heavy. A really good dish.

The side ramp is a nice touch for accessibility. The parking is easy, but you do have to remember to register your car at the front desk when you arrive, or you'll get a ticket.

Great for a quick bite. Chicken supreme was spot on, mussels and croquettes were a solid start. Service was quick, got me in and out during a busy lunch. Dining room looks nice but honestly, just needed something fast.

The steak and ale pie is the reason I keep coming back. The pastry is perfectly flaky and the filling is rich and hearty, packed with tender beef. It's exactly what you want from a classic pub dish.

The staff really knew their gins and rums, helped us pick something new. Perfect for a catch-up with friends.

Good live music on Saturdays, really adds to the vibe. Food was decent, but the service was a bit slow due to the crowd. Fine for a casual weekend dinner.

The staff were very welcoming and professional. Meal was plentiful and well cooked, maybe warm the plates to keep food hot. Knifes need replacing as very blunt to cut meat, although we should have asked for replacements. Nice atmosphere.

Been here a few times for a quick bite. The food is consistent and arrives fast, which is what you want from a place like this. It's a solid choice when you just need something reliable and don't want to think about it.

Popped in while passing through Melton. Really liked the vibe here - big, airy pub, not too crowded. Staff were spot on when I asked about the ales. Prices felt fair for what you get. Decent spot for a casual pint.

Been here for karaoke nights a few times. It's a fun spot if you're up for singing. The vibe is always lively.
