Been coming here for years. The bacon, brie, and cranberry sandwich is always solid – you can tell they don't skimp on the fillings. It's a proper lunch, not just a snack.

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, very comfortable for a night's stay.

Been coming here for years, the fish is always spot on. They'll even fry it fresh if you ask. Just a solid, reliable chippy.

Didn't try the food, but Tom and Bob were really friendly. You could tell they genuinely cared about the service. The room we were in had a nice rustic vibe, felt cosy. Menu for light bites looked decent, prices seemed fair.

Been coming here for years, and the army stew never disappoints. It's always packed with good stuff and just the right amount of heat. That's the main reason I keep coming back.

Bagel was hot and fresh, which is nice. They don't skimp on the fillings either, the portion was decent. Pickled cucumbers were a good touch, house-made I think.

Been here a few times. The food selection is definitely better than other spots around. Tried one of their special teas, it was a nice change from the usual. Staff are always on it.

The staff were so warm and friendly when we arrived. Felt like visiting a friend's place.

Been coming here for years. The ale is always well-kept, which is the main thing. Good range on handpull, from session bitters to something a bit stronger. Priced fairly for the area, around a fiver a pint. It's my local for a reason.

I’m a regular here mainly for the lentil soup. It’s always fresh, you can taste the quality of the lentils and herbs. The shawarma is good too, but the soup is why I keep coming back. Just a really clean, wholesome bowl.

The Panang curry is packed with meat and has a proper kick. Stands out from the other places nearby.

Portions are huge, had to take half the pasta home. Rina was really nice, checked on us just the right amount.

Been coming here for years. Elsie and Megan always remember my name, makes you feel right at home. The garlic bread's still the best in town, crispy on the outside, soft inside. That's why I keep coming back.

Such a cosy spot! The owner and staff were so lovely, really made us feel at home. Perfect for a relaxed catch-up with friends. We ended up staying for ages just chatting.

Lovely, thoughtful decor. Fresh flowers on the tables were a nice touch. Everything was spotless, even the loos were super clean and modern. It just felt like a nice place to sit down for a meal.

The frosty drinks are a classic, can't go wrong. But the square beef patties are the real standout here. They're a unique touch and actually taste great. A solid choice for the price.

Came here with a group and was pleasantly surprised by the bill. Seven of us had a proper meal with drinks, and it didn't break the bank at all. The staff were really friendly, which made the whole evening feel relaxed.

The bacon and sausage roll was the star. Really thick, quality bacon and the sausages were tasty. The onions on top were just right, not too sweet. A solid choice for a quick lunch.

Decent pub quiz, well-run. The complimentary buffet after was a nice touch. They also did a random cash prize draw, not just for the winners. Good for a midweek evening.

Friendly staff, good food. Came for a quick business lunch, service was prompt and the food arrived hot. Solid option for the area.

Been coming here for years, and their waffles are always spot on. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, just the way I like them. It's that consistency that keeps me coming back.

Popped in for a coffee and a slice of cake with a friend. The staff were really friendly and even brought our order out to the pavement table for us, which was a nice touch. It's a clean, tidy little spot and the prices felt very fair.

The portions are huge for the price! A solid choice for a casual meal by the beach. Their house red was a decent match for the hearty food.

Coffee was smooth and strong, no bitterness at all. The chocolate cake was a nice match, not too sweet. Staff were friendly. A solid spot for a proper coffee and a bite.

The Americano with fresh whipped cream was a nice touch. The coffee itself is really good, definitely one of the better ones I've had.
