The food at Cheers Pub is consistently good, with hearty portions and a great variety of options. I particularly enjoyed the Indonesian-style seafood rice, which was loaded with seafood.

No. 6 of Bars in Colombo

The hot butter cuttlefish was spot on—crispy outside, soft inside. Wok special rice had good portions too. Solid spot for Chinese food without breaking the bank.

Decent Indian food, pretty consistent each time I've been. Portions are fair for what you pay. Place is small though, lighting's a bit dim for my liking. But the food quality keeps me coming back. Fine spot if you're in the area and want something reliable.

Dinner here was a highlight of our stay. The unhurried pace, refined dishes, and thoughtful service from Yoga made it one of the best meals we've had in the country.

Rooftop view of Colombo is the main reason to come here. Drinks were solid, staff (Akila and Ushas) handled everything quickly even though it got busy later. Good spot if you want a relaxed evening without the usual tourist crowd. Prices are a bit on the higher side for what you get, but the setting makes up for it.

Came here with two friends and honestly the portion sizes caught us off guard 😅 we ordered pasta for three and still couldn’t finish it. The live band was nice but kinda felt wasted outside since most people were inside eating. Service was quick and friendly though. Good spot if you’re hungry and want something casual.

Had the lentil dal with rice at this place. Simple dish but honestly the best dal I've had in a long time. Portion was decent for the price too. Staff were friendly, didn't rush me at all. Wish I lived closer, would come back just for this.

Dropped by for a late lunch and grabbed a chicken curry with some rice. Flavors were solid, and the price felt fair for the portion. I did expect more heat, being Jaffna style and all, but it was still a decent feed. Had a lime soda on the side, which cut through the richness nicely. Wouldn't mind coming back to try their crab.

Coffee's solid and the place is big enough to breathe. Food's hit or miss, and it's looking a little tired, but the caffeine does the job. Quick in and out for a lunch break.

Solid chicken wrap and the Sri Lankan curry was proper. Place built around a tree, two floors, kinda cozy. Prices fair for what you get. Nothing fancy but does the job.

Came for the lunch buffet and honestly the spread was solid. Lots of options, everything fresh. But wow it’s spicy 😅 I’m usually okay with heat but even I had to pace myself. Wish they had more mild stuff for balance. Still, if you like bold flavors, you’ll enjoy it.

Tuna steak was solid, cooked just right. Mega fish and chips came out hot and crispy, portion was huge. Mashed potatoes were smooth, good side. Place was chill for a quick lunch, no fuss. Got my food fast enough, which I appreciated. Would come back if I'm in the area and want something easy.

Great cocktails and fair prices right on the beach. Staff were friendly too.

Came here twice on our trip—kottu and devilled shrimp were solid, but the pineapple juice really stood out. Owners clearly care about what they serve. Wish I had room to try more.

The chicken curry had real heat, deep flavor. Coconut sambol was fresh, cut through the richness. Ate on the rooftop, view of Kandy was a bonus. Price is a bit high for what you get, but the taste made up for it. Would come back just for that curry.

Stopped by a few times while we were in the area. The food was solid, but honestly the cocktails were the highlight for me—they paired really well with the spicy dishes. Staff remembered us on the second visit, which was a nice touch. Only thing is it got a bit loud later in the evening, but that's on us for staying so long.

Lemon chicken was solid, seafood platter came out fresh. Place looks plain from outside but food surprised me. Portions big for the price.

The chicken curry and fish curry were spot on, and that naan was perfect for scooping it all up.

The coffee’s actually decent here — not too bitter, not burnt. I grabbed a quick bite too and the food came out fresh. Staff were friendly enough without hovering. Place gets a bit noisy around midday, but it’s fine if you’re not looking for a quiet corner. I’d come back if I’m in the area.

Solid Sunday BBQ buffet. First round came out well-presented, tasted good. Service kept up fine since we got there early. Decent value for the price.

Food’s solid but service drags when it’s busy. Took ages for delivery once, though the taste made up for it. Portion size decent for the price.
