Service was spot on, really attentive. The food took a while but was worth it. Solid Korean BBQ for the price.

Been coming here for years, and the cheese board is always spot on. Sat outside by the river last week, same as always. Perfect with a gin. It's that consistency that keeps me coming back.

The duck was fantastic, and they had a lovely house red that paired beautifully with it. Self-service for ordering and drinks, but it works.

The staff were so warm and friendly when we arrived. Felt like visiting a friend's place.

I’m a regular here mainly for the lentil soup. It’s always fresh, you can taste the quality of the lentils and herbs. The shawarma is good too, but the soup is why I keep coming back. Just a really clean, wholesome bowl.

Portions are huge, had to take half the pasta home. Rina was really nice, checked on us just the right amount.

Been coming here for years. Elsie and Megan always remember my name, makes you feel right at home. The garlic bread's still the best in town, crispy on the outside, soft inside. That's why I keep coming back.

Been coming here for years. Fish is always fresh, batter's crispy. They still throw in a few scraps with the chips, which is a nice touch. Prices haven't gone crazy either. Solid local chippy.

The local ingredients really shine here. The scallops were perfectly seared, and the lamb was cooked just right. Service was smooth, never intrusive. Felt like a proper fine dining experience without being stuffy.

Cosy spot for a casual dinner. I really appreciated the fresh ingredients in the salad - the greens were crisp and the tomatoes tasted like they were just picked. A nice, simple meal.

The soup bases are the highlight. Tried the spicy miso broth with the thick noodles, really hit the spot on a cold day. Good selection to choose from.

Nat and Josh were super helpful with suggestions. The Great White Buffalo burger was the star. Quick service, perfect for a fast lunch.

Been coming here for years, and the beer selection is always spot on. Eight cask ales on, including a couple of porters last time. That glass-walled cellar upstairs is a nice touch. Just a solid, reliable pub.

Nice little cafe in the park. The food was tasty and the prices were fair, which is always a plus.

Tofu pad thai for a quick lunch. Noodles weren't dry, sauce was good. Plenty of veggies, tofu was fried nicely. Got it in under 10 minutes, which is what I needed. Solid choice when you're in a rush.

Popped in solo and had the three-course meal. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, especially in the starter.

Lamb belly on sourdough was solid. Service from Maria was efficient and friendly. Convenient spot for a quick lunch.

They were really thoughtful with my coeliac and pescatarian requests. The tasting menu felt properly adapted, not just a few things swapped out. Made a big difference to the evening.

The seafood dishes were pretty good, with some interesting spice combinations you don't often see. The place is spotless, and the staff were very attentive. A solid meal.

Found this spot tucked away in York. The lamb birria stew was packed with flavour and so fresh. The staff were really friendly and attentive.

The all-you-can-eat deal here is solid. The meat was good quality, not just cheap filler. Servers were quick to refill drinks and clear plates. For what you pay, you definitely get your money's worth.

The spicy sauce on my shawarma was spot on. Not too overpowering, just a nice warmth that worked really well with the fresh salad and meat. Made a good wrap even better.

Staff were so nice, especially the doorman who helped us out. Made the evening really smooth. Just a heads up, you'll want to book ahead if there's music on.

The chickpea scramble was so creamy. That sourdough bread was a perfect match.

Stumbled upon this place exploring York. A real find. The staff were so attentive, remembered my name after the first order. Felt very personal, not like just another table.

Tried the schnitzel here on a whim. It was crisp, not greasy at all, and came with this really nice potato salad. The cakes in the display looked gorgeous too. A solid find for something a bit different.

Hugh's cooking was the highlight. The portions are generous, and the service was spot on. My fish was cooked just right, not dry at all. A solid meal.

I stop by with my dog almost every week. The staff are so friendly, and the croissants are always fresh and flaky. It's a nice little spot to unwind for a bit.
