Berlin Temple is located at No. 23 Shita East Road, Zhaozhou Town, Zhao County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. It was built in the Jian'an period of the East Han Dynasty (196-220). It was anciently called "Guanyin Academy", the Southern Song Dynasty was "Yong'an Academy", and the Jin Dynasty was called "Berlin Temple". Built in 1992, covering more than 90 mu, it is an important ancestor court in the history of Chinese Zen. The Berlin Zen Temple has five temples along the central axis, namely Shanmen Veto Palace, Puguang Palace, Guanyin Palace, Wumenguan (Zen Hall), and Wanfo Building.
