Chifeng Museum Review

Chifeng Museum has a magnificent appearance and a rich collection, from unearthed cultural relics with nearly 10,000 years of history to modern boutique objects, detailed introduction, lifelike, fully showing the spectacular development history of Chifeng area.

Chifeng City Museum (Old Hall) covers an area of 3,400 square meters, the shape is an antique pavilion-style building, 48 meters high, the main 3 floors, the tower 4 floors, the four corners of the spire, the moth is decorated with yellow glazed tiles, the shape has strong Chinese classical architectural characteristics and national style. The area of use is 6800 square meters, the exhibition area is 3,500 square meters, and the warehouse area is 1,500 square meters.

Chifeng City Museum is located on the north side of Chifeng City Cultural Square. The Zhaowu Dameng Museum was established in 1959, the Zhaowu Dameng Cultural Relics Workstation was established in 1963, and the name was changed to Chifeng City Museum in 1987. Chifeng City Museum is located at the north end of Chifeng City Cultural Square in the downtown area of Chifeng. The architectural style reflects the perfect combination of the solemn and elegant oriental classical architecture and the smooth and concise modern architecture.

赤峰市博物馆（旧馆）占地面积3400平方米，外形为仿古楼阁式建筑，高48米，主体3层，塔楼4层，四角攒尖顶，飞檐饰有黄色琉璃瓦，外形具有浓郁的中国古典建筑特色和民族风格。使用面积6800平方米，展览面积3500平方米，库房面积1500平方米。赤峰市博物馆基本陈列展厅位于二楼、三楼。2001年以前有六个展厅。2003年改建之后，分为四个专题历史陈列，展示了赤峰历史的四个辉煌时期。陈列面积200平方米，使用通式展柜，展览风格简洁明快，共展出藏品600余件（组），其中红山文化的勾云形玉佩、夏家店下层文化的彩绘嵌贝陶鬲，辽代彩绘木棺等一级文物都是代表赤峰地区悠久历史文化的珍品。

赤峰市博物馆位于赤峰市区文化广场的北侧，1959年成立昭乌达盟博物筹备处，1963年成立昭乌达盟文物工作站，1987年更名为赤峰市博物馆。赤峰市博物馆坐落在赤峰市中心城区文化广场的北端，建筑风格体现了东方古典建筑庄重典雅和现代建筑流畅简洁的完美结合。馆舍建筑面积6800平方米；馆藏文物1万余件，图书资料几千册。博物馆主要有文明之光、青铜时代、草原帝国三大展区。文明之光展区主要介绍赤峰地区新石器时代的兴隆洼文化、赵宝沟文化、红山文化、富河文化、小河沿文化的文物精品展。青铜时代展区主要介绍创造了草原青铜文明的夏家店下层文化和夏家店上层文化。草原帝国展区主要介绍辽文化、蒙元文化专题展示。
