In the Ming Dynasty, Anhui Zhangzhou had a scholar named Ouyang Boyun, the word bitter book. It was born in the official residence home, and it gradually fell down due to the family situation, very poor. However, the scholar was unwilling to arrange his fate, and was unwilling to send people under the fence. He was determined to take the "gong name" and shine the ancestors. A good-hearted gentleman told him: "After the life is too bad, you need to read thousands of books to feel the gods of heaven and earth." So he copied more than books and works all day long. But the family was poor and the paper was too expensive, so he had to copy an article on the walls and door panels. One day he felt bored in the room, and he came to the backyard to relax. I saw the peony bush that had not bloomed for many years in the backyard, and the flowers were lush and leafy. So he suddenly came back to the room, took the pen and wrote the article on the peony petals, and used the flower paper. The kind gentleman passed by here to see this scene, called this peony "Wanhuashu". This may have touched the "flower god", the leap year, Ouyang Boyun really hit "lifting people."

There is a boulder near the old golden roof of Fanjing Mountain. Due to the development and weathering of the crust for hundreds of millions of years, the surface of the boulder forms a stack of shapes, which is like a stack of books stacked together from a distance. Therefore, people call it "the thousands of books", which is a large landscape near the golden roof of Fanjing Mountain.

铜仁梵净山老金顶附近的万卷书崖层层叠叠，传说是唐僧取经返回时掉落的一叠佛经幻化而成。实际是地质作用加上风化而成，附近还有蘑菇石，翻天印等奇石，是梵净山重要景观。

万卷书与蘑菇石都是山顶最有趣的标志性景观！位于多个石头景观丛中，造型都非常形似。俺当年雨后登山目睹壮丽云海奇观！心灵震撼、激动万分，就让它永留心间吧！虽然省掉100多元门票，可仍逃不了160元索道费！因为山路凝冻结冰禁止徒步！俺想如当年一样徒步10公里到山脚，依然不让！

万卷书又称为万卷经书，相传唐僧玄奖西方取经归来后到梵净山拜谒弥勒，由于白马偶失前蹄，掉下了一些经书，经书落地生根，于是形成了梵净山的万卷经书景点。主要是两块巨石之间有一个很小的缝隙，而由于梵特殊的地质结构，每块巨石都是由层层叠叠的薄石片重叠而成的，看起来非常象书。这是梵净山的景点之一，爬老金顶过程中会看到的。
