The national key Buddhist monasteries, founded in the Tang Dynasty, were originally one of the twelve lower houses of Xiantong Temple, dedicated to the Sakyamuni Buddha son Luo Siluo, independent during the Qing Kangxi period, and changed from Han Buddhist monasteries to Tibetan Buddhist monasteries.
