Geothermal valley is one of the eight-win 12 scenery of Taiwan in the Japanese era and the source of Beitou Hot Spring. Because it is filled with sulfur smoke throughout the year, it is reminiscent of hell, so it is called "geothermal valley" or "ghost lake". The stone in the geothermal valley has radioactive element "plutonium", called "Beitou Stone", is the world's thousands of ores, the only ore named in Taiwan's place name. The hot spring water temperature of the geothermal valley is between 80-100℃, belonging to the hydrochloric acid spring, commonly known as "green sulphur spring" and "sulfonous water head."
