Review of the JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa This resort is a beautiful 5-star destination that offers a truly relaxing experience, especially when it's not hosting large events. The rooms are fantastic, providing a comfortable and luxurious base for your stay. The restaurants offer great value, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. A slight exception is the steakhouse, which, while good, feels a little overpriced for what it offers. The resort's swimming pools are a highlight, particularly the stunning adult-only pool, which is perfect for unwinding. The resort's location is a bit isolated, so be prepared for that, but it contributes to the peaceful atmosphere. The staff is generally excellent, and special mention goes to Khun Bee, who manages the steakhouse. She is incredibly knowledgeable about all the food and beverage options and is a shining star at the resort. In summary, this is a beautiful and well-appointed resort with top-notch rooms and pools. While the steakhouse could be better value, and the location is a bit secluded, it's a wonderful place to relax—just be aware that large wedding groups can significantly change the atmosphere. As per usual all top management seem to be hiding from the guests

The experience with Santhiya was great. We stayed in the seawater pool villa for two nights. The room was large and had everything we needed. The view was awesome and we could look at the peaceful sea without any obstruction. While we are vegan, we enjoyed the plenty of vegan options here. For the complimentary breakfast, there was even a corner for vegetarian with around 8-10 options. The staff were friendly and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for more. Will definitely come again!

My overall experience was absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, every staff member greeted me with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm. The team went out of their way to make me feel welcome and relaxed, providing great hospitality at every turn. In particular, I have to mention Khun Kath – her kindness, attentiveness, and friendliness truly stood out and made my stay extra special. I always felt like a valued guest thanks to her wonderful service and the positive attitude of the entire team. My room was perfect in every way: spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully appointed. The room had all the amenities I could possibly need. I really appreciated how well the room was maintained and how everything just worked. It was a peaceful space where I could unwind fully after a day of exploring the resort’s activities. Speaking of activities, everything was very well organized. The resort offered a great range of fun things to do, and each activity was managed smoothly. My morning, the delicious breakfast which had a good variety of hot dishes, fresh fruit, pastries, and more. One small note: the grill restaurant was just average.

Moracea has a really good location on one of the most picturesque resort beaches in Khao Lak. The rooms are decent, though the resort may be starting to show its age a bit. The only issue we had with our rooms were truly poor pillow quality. We ended up swapping to the lounger pillows and throwing the cases on them instead. The resort seems to have handled the issue many other reviewers mention about people booking sun loungers way in advance and leaving them ”vacant” for hours. If you're out around 7-9am, you ought to find a nice seat by the beach. Even later would still work. We had some terrific service in general at Moracea. Staff seemed hospitable and friendly, even by Thai standards. We did feel that restaurants and bars could certainly be improved in general, but not at all related to the staff. The food quality for dinner/lunch was really bland, and we opted to eat out every meal aside from a nice breakfast (which had plenty of variety for our tastes). We would certainly book again.

This is a very cost-effective resort. The infinity pool by the sea is beautiful👍 It feels 80 meters long and is the first choice for swimming enthusiasts. The breakfast is rich and delicious, the dinner is delicious and inexpensive, the single-family original thatched wooden house is very impressive, and the sunrise every morning🌅 is so beautiful! Tranquility and far-reaching ~

A True Eden with Exceptional Hospitality My stay at Eden Beach Khaolak Resort was absolutely delightful! The resort lives up to its name—lush tropical gardens, a pristine beach, and stunning azure pools made me feel like I’d stepped into paradise. The Thai-inspired room design, paired with the soothing sound of waves, created the perfect relaxing getaway. The surrounding area was lively yet convenient, with easy access to local markets, restaurants, and shops, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. ----------- A special shout-out to Ms. Pure at the front desk for her outstanding service! When I needed help navigating public transportation to Phuket, she actively contacted the staff of the transportation company and added my contact information to find out if I was able to successfully board the bus that day. Her kindness and professionalism turned what could have been a stressful experience into a smooth and enjoyable journey. This level of care truly sets the resort apart! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Khaolak. Highly recommended for travelers seeking both natural beauty and heartfelt hospitality!

Amazing hotel, great location. Hotspring and pool outstanding. Restaurants could do with a bit more variety in food. For a five star hotel serving beer in cans....mhaw. Some rooms could do with a bit of maintenance especially air conditioners.

Clean rooms and nice beach with benefits of scale. Lots of activities and equipment - tennis, kayak, boards, rock climbing, skateboard parks etc.. lots of fun great for family Some cool stuff like cultural activities etc. Problems - have to ask for comb, outdoor slippers etc - service level below average.. too many customers. difficult to get waiter attention at hotels, instructions sometimes poor (eg did not tell us that we had to pick up tennis rackets at lobby) - that 100m pool has no service. apparently unless you stay in those pool access rooms you cannot swim there? that's fine but please do not advertise this as a feature since apparently most customers cannot go? - water at Beach front is not free... you'll have to find your own towels etc. very little service.

The hotel is excellent, gorgeous territory, large swimming pool, private beach, excellent breakfasts. Very friendly staff, clean well, wash floors every day and change towels and linen. The rooms are a little tired, but everything works. Large balcony with a table, bench and clothes dryer. We used the spa services, the prices are of course higher than in the salons on the street, but the massage is in a separate room, everything is clean and the quality of the massage is very high. The hotel has bowling, billiards, a gym. The territory is like a large garden - birds sing in the morning. The only minus is the lack of disposable slippers, but the floors are clean and we walked barefoot.
