yccuiThis church, unlike any other in Europe, sits nestled among the hilltops. It's truly a journey of pious beauty. The century-old stone statues remain as fresh as ever. Practicing Taoism here offers a deeper sense of purpose.

梨花落🍀Ananuri Fortress, which was featured on the cover of Lonely Planet - Georgia, is an ancient castle built in the 13th century. It was once the private castle of the lord of the Aragvi feudal dynasty and also a military fortress. The Aragvi dynasty was overthrown in the 18th century, and the place was occupied by subsequent rulers. It remained a castle fortress until the 19th century, and the broken walls and ruins tell of the war and glory of the past. From a small slope without guardrails on the side of the wall, you can climb up the tower and take pictures of the castle and the lake from the small hole in the tower. The stone stairs to the tower can only accommodate one person, and you need to use your hands and feet.

梨花落🍀The Monastery of the Cross (Jvari Church) was built at the end of the 6th century AD. It is the place where Saint Nino first erected a cross when Christianity was introduced to Georgia in the 4th century AD. Lermontov, a great Russian poet, wrote the famous poem "The Child Monk" here. The church houses a portrait of Saint Nino and a huge wooden cross called the Cross of Saint Nino, which attracts a large number of believers to make pilgrimages. The monastery is located on a rocky mountaintop near the ancient city of Mtskheta, overlooking the confluence of the Kura River and the Aragvi River and the ancient city of Mtskheta.

梨花落🍀The Georgia-Russia Friendship Monument was built in 1983 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the friendship between Georgia and Soviet Russia. A friendship monument corresponding to the friendship arch was erected in a square in Moscow. Today, the political and diplomatic relations between Georgia and Russia are a little ironic, but it does not hinder the daily exchanges between the people of the two countries. The monument stands at an altitude of 2,384 meters in the form of an arch. The inner wall uses bright mosaic tile murals to show the historical scenes of Georgia and Russia. The observation deck is an excellent place to overlook the Caucasus Mountains.

滕凯舟It was Sunday when we went there. The church was in service and only locals were allowed in. The grass outside was very comfortable. Listening to the hymns from the church and basking in the warm winter sun made me feel very happy. There was a small square outside the church. There were horse-drawn carriages and children playing football. Everything looked very natural and leisurely.
