How do I get my lost item back from Chiltern Railways?

If you leave a belonging behind on a Chiltern Railways train, you should fill out their lost property form as soon as possible, available both online and at their stations. Property lost at Oxford station should be reported to GWR.

When filling out the Chiltern Railways lost property form, you will be asked to provide your personal details and information about the item you lost, such as details about the train you lost it on, when you lost it and the type, colour and brand of the lost item.

You should include as much information as possible in the form, especially distinguishing features of the lost item, as that will help Chiltern railways reunite you and your belonging. You can also upload an image of the item, if you have one.

If your item is found, Chiltern Railways will contact you by email. It may take up to three weeks for items to be processed, so don’t lose hope – they may still be working to reunite you with your item. However, if you haven’t heard anything after that point, you should consider your item not found.

Chiltern Railways charges a handling fee for processing your lost items. Laptops and tablets incur a charge of £20, mobile phones cost £10 and a charge of £3 will apply for all other items.

Where can I pick up my lost item from Chiltern Railways?

All items lost on Chiltern Railways trains and stations are sent to the operator's lost property office at London Marylebone station. The office is open from Monday to Friday, 12:00 to 20:00.

You will need the reference number provided to you by email in order to collect your item.
