From the Sukayu Information Center near Sukayu Onsen, I walked along the promenade along the road for less than 10 minutes and reached the shore of Hell Numa. Although it is called Hell Numa, the surface of the lake is beautiful milk blue. Since it is a swamp created by the volcanic activity of Mt. Hakkoda, there were several vents around the swamp that were volcanic activity, and it smelled of sulfur. Beyond the surface of the lake, you can see the mountains of Hakkoda, which was a beautiful swamp unlike the name.
