Dating only to 1856, this NeoGothic church was blockier than the cathedral but had vibrantly frescoed side altars flanking the sanctuary and pillars and vaults adorned with more geometric patterns.
Despite the numerous windows, this was surprisingly dark inside. It was built between 1856 and 1869. There is a fine rose window above the western entrance.
This maybe not as spectacular as the town's main cathedral, but is still quite impressive. Beautiful windows and interesting architecture. Well worth a visit.

Interesting church in Petit Bayonne

Lovely
Amazing a place like this survives wars, revolutions etc. And the Windows are getting spruced up. Impressive inside and out.
