Chongqing two-day two-night tour! Satisfied with the accommodation! Delicious food!
Chongqing two-day two-night tour! Satisfied with the accommodation! Delicious food! It's my first time in Chongqing! Recording some happy moments:
1. Went straight to explore Longmenhao and Xiahaoli, two old streets, right after landing in the afternoon. These off-the-beaten-path attractions with fewer people and beautiful scenery really won my heart! The weather was clear on the 19th, and the riverside scenery felt like a seaside city
2. Xiahaoli lit up at night gives off a forest in a mountain city vibe, even prettier than Hongyadong! Walked from Xiahaoli to the south bank of the Yangtze River Cableway and was lucky to get a prime spot on the cable car. In 5 minutes, crossed the Yangtze River, admiring the stunning night view of both banks
3. After getting off the cableway, walked to Jiefangbei to enjoy a tea break at Cha Yan Yue Se, then took a taxi to the Jiangtan Grand Theatre (opposite Hongyadong) for a quick photo session, not wasting a minute. Also saw the night view of the other side of Raffles City from the Jiangtan Grand Theatre area, which is just as bustling as Shanghai's Bund haha
4. Stayed in a quiet, spacious, and cost-effective river-view suite hotel! Even better than the one I stayed at in Zhengzhou, the Jianye 1700 for eleven nights!
5. It started raining the next morning, instantly turning into a foggy city. Visited Bai Xiang Ju, Huguang Guild Hall, and the People's Great Hall! Each place was very photogenic! It's a pity that my boyfriend's photography skills were not up to par
6. Took the light rail to Chongqing University of Science and Technology, 40 kilometers away, for some errands. The journey across the river and through buildings was more interesting than deliberately looking for places to visit, with endless scenery along the way.
7. A local friend took us out for Qianjiang chicken giblets in the evening and recommended Ding Jiaojiao Chuan Chuan, both delicious! (Better than what we found on our own haha
Some minor regrets due to the tight schedule, will come again next time:
1. Was working all the way during the trip, occasionally looked up to find the scenery from Hubei to Chongqing was absolutely stunning. Next time, I want to pick a beautiful spring day and drive here with friends!
2. Next time, I want to come with my girlfriends, leisurely stroll through Longmenhao and Xiahaoli again, take photos, drink coffee, and daydream! This time with my boyfriend, plus the rainy weather, many photogenic places were missed
3. Time was too short, returned to the hotel very late every day, wasting the great suite with an unbeatable night view of the river. Ding Jiaojiao Chuan Chuan is located in a residential building, very characteristic of Chongqing, cheap and tasty, but unfortunately had to pack and take away in a hurry to catch the high-speed train.
4. I really recommend asking locals for food recommendations when you come to Chongqing. The small noodles, trotter soup, spicy chicken, and hotpot I found myself were all quite average, not bad tasting. But neither the environment nor the flavor had that authentic Chongqing alley vibe, unlike the Qianjiang chicken giblets and skewers recommended by friends!
5. Was working every day, always preoccupied with work, unable to fully relax and enjoy. Stole some leisure time amidst the busyness, hoping to have the confidence to forge paths through mountains and build bridges over waters, balance work, and continue to love life!
Chongqing's Jiefangbei is a landmark building in Chongqing, witnessing history, and also the core area of Chongqing. It took pictures of the day and night, which was very spectacular. This three-day tour of Chongqing is very beautiful.
