We went this morning (11 August 2023) to the National Museum of Transylvanian History in Cluj. We discovered (after we bought our tickets) that foreign tourists are not welcome in this musem. Th...
It's a nice museum in the center of Cluj where you can learn more about the history of the city and also visit some temporary exhibitions. We enjoyed seeing the Greek pottery collection.
Thought this would give me some ideas on the history of Transylvania, but its mostly artifacts and pictures/photos and not much explanation of the history of the area.
On second floor with no lift! One area with well preserved historical artifacts. Second area with photographic display. No captions in English. OK but not a must see.

Nice visit
It's a nice museum in the center of Cluj where you can learn more about the history of the city and also visit some temporary exhibitions. We enjoyed seeing the Greek pottery collection.
