We visited here to see dolphins and came across this small monument near the car park at Chanonry Point. The monument or stone commemorates a somewhat gruesome event.
In a beautiful setting overlooking the sea, this stone is a memory to the Brahman Seer, who was brutally killed after foretelling a scene his employer did not want to hear.

I don't know why there is a memorial here. It is said that he predicted the future in the 17th century but that's really it. Nice viewpoint though.
