Shatuo Monastery

Shatuo Temple is also known as "Shatuo Temple" and "Gadan Temple", which is called "Zhaxi Qun Kelin" in Tibetan, which means "auspicious Falun Island". Shatuo Temple is a Nyingma monastery around the lake, located in Niannaisoma Village, Quanji Township, Gangcha County. Shatuo Temple is surrounded by mountains and rivers. The scripture hall, scripture building and monk's house integrate Tibetan and Chinese architectural art. The inner and outer walls of all scripture halls and Buddhist halls are painted with murals of Buddhist content, as well as exquisitely made embroidered statues of column sets. Against the backdrop of the scenery of Qinghai Lake, it is quite spectacular. There are hundreds of Buddhist scriptures in the temple, including the Tripitaka "Kangyur", "Tengyur" and other sutras, nearly a hundred Buddha statues of various sizes, and thousands of various instruments. The statue of Guru Rinpoche is enshrined in the Great Sutra Hall. The small scripture hall enshrines the Avalokitesvara Buddha statue, which is 3 meters high. In the Buddha's arms, there is a four-armed Avalokitesvara Buddha statue with a size of 5 inches, which is bestowed by the fifth Lobsang Gyatso. The temple is full of cigarettes all year round, and there is an endless stream of believers and good women. Every spring and summer abroad, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan compatriots and domestic tourists come to Shatuo Temple for sightseeing.
