Saltwell Park is a Victorian Park in Gateshead designed by Edward Kemp. It opened in 1876. It used to be owned by William Wailes but is now run by Gateshead Council. In 1999 it underwent a £9.6million restoration and won Britain’s Best Park award in 2005
