BE sure you are not a real nervous driver, because it is a scary drive to the top, with a two lane winding road and sheer drop-offs! If you are not used to high altitude it can make you sick, so take it slowly and drink lots of water. I'm from Denver !(5280 feet) and I really felt awful at the top of Mr. Evans which is twice as high as Denver! The view is amazing but the drive and altitude is dangerous!

Climbing to the summit of Mount Evans (one of Colorado's most beautiful peaks) is the driving force for most people. It is a difficult journey as the whole journey requires walking up the mountain. The views from the top are unforgettable and there are beautiful scenery along the way. You can fully feel the charm of Colorado here.
The road to the top of Mount Evans is said to be the tallest in the United States, but every September the part close to the top of the mountain is closed, and with the possibility of ice, the lane closes at Echo Lake, about 15 miles from the top. So it's a pity not to see the rock sheep on the top of Mount Evans.
I came here mainly to see Mount Evans. The bike road to the top of the hill, which is said to be the highest bike road in the United States, is partially closed every September because it may freeze. Echo Lake is beautiful!
