Radon water
Nijo Onsen Kiraranoyu is a bathing facility near JR Chikuzen Fukae station. I visited it after climbing Mt. Raizan. The water of this hot spring contains radon, and by taking a bath, you can expect a ...
I arrived a little before 7 pm and tried to enter with a JAF discount, but I was told that at 7 o'clock there would be a further discount, 500 yen. There are various bathtubs such as hot, lukewarm, bubble bath, open-air, sauna, cold bath and small size. The dressing area is small and inconvenient when crowded, but overall I am satisfied.
The price was reasonable and I didn't expect much, but the facility was quite large and there was a break room so I was able to relax. The bath was small for the facility, but I enjoyed it as well as a sauna and an open-air bath. Bring a towel. Rinse-in shampoo and body soap are available.
I used only the hot spring facility. I bought a ticket (550 yen) at the entrance and the 2nd floor was a bathhouse. There was a button on the automatic ticket vending machine for the family bath, but there was a consultation and a poster at the reception. The hot spring is reasonably large. I think there is enough washroom. The open-air bath was full when there were 3 or 4 people. There is also a restaurant. The parking lot is wide on the road side and down.
You can have Radon hot springs and delicious local ingredients.

Radon Onsen can be reached in about 30 minutes by car from Fukuoka city. In the large public bath, men's and women's baths change weekly. In addition to the bath, there is also a restaurant, a direct sales office for vegetables and fruits. At the restaurant, you can enjoy locally harvested seafood, mountain food at a reasonable price. After taking a bath, you can take a break at a free rest area or drive along the coastline.
