Jincheng Ancient Academy

The ancient academy of Jincheng is located in Jincheng, Shanxi Province. The academy was originally named "Mingdao Academy" and was renamed "Ancient Academy" in the Qing Dynasty. The founder of the ancient academy is a famous philosopher, educator and founder of Cheng Zhu Lixue in Northern Song Dynasty. This is the only college built in Shanxi during the Northern Song Dynasty, and thus also laid the unique position of Jincheng in Shanxi during the Northern Song Dynasty.

Since then, the college was destroyed in the Jinyuan period, and the main existing buildings were built in the Ming and Qing eras. Since the original residents of the hospital were surnamed Jin, the villagers called it "Jinyuan".
