Canada Village is located in Chikan Town, Kaiping, formerly known as "Yaohuafang". It was built in 1923. The village consists of eleven buildings, including five cottages, four buildings, a watchtower and a clubhouse. The five houses are: Jun Lu, An Lu, Yaodong Ju Lu, Chun Lu and Yu Lu; the four buildings are: Huade Building, Guohao Building, Guogen Building and Chunru Building; one watchtower is: Sihao Building building. The original name of the Canadian Village was Yaohua Square, which was built by overseas Chinese living in Canada. It was later known as the Canadian Village. Due to the pressure of life in the early days, many villagers in Canada Village followed Mr. Guan Guonuan, an overseas Chinese who lived in Canada in the early days, to Canada to make a living. After making money, many overseas Chinese returned to their hometowns to build houses due to the idea of falling leaves returning to their roots. Earlier, they built: Junlu, Huade Building, Anlu, Guohao Building, and Sihao Building. Later, between 1933 and 1936, they built: Yao Dongjulu, Guogenlou, Chunlu, Yulu, Chunrulou and clubhouse. The landmark building in the village is the Sihao Building. The Sihao Building is five stories high, and the first floor is shared. The second to fourth floors belong to four families. There are two rooms on each floor, and there is no kitchen. It is understood that the purpose of the building is for refuge and flood control, so the structure of the whole building is relatively strong. There are four bunkers on the roof, each of which has a gun hole, so that the whole village can be overlooked from a high place. Intruders can fight back. The entire village is now inhabited only by Junlu. Junlu Building is three-storey high. The outer wall of the whole building is made of blue bricks. There are two rooms on the first floor and a hall. The kitchen is behind the hall and the stairs are on the side of the kitchen. Concrete construction, the whole building is sturdy and practical, and the furniture in the house is well preserved. It is a relatively complete building in Canada Village.
The original name of the Canadian village Yaohuafang, built in 1923, was named after the construction of the tourism and overseas Chinese. There are five buildings in the village, Junhui, Anhui, Yaodongju, Chunhui, Yuhui, Huade Building, Guohao Building, Guogen Building, Chunru Building, and the fourth floor of the building. Most of the buildings, luxury buildings and clubhouses in the village were built in the 1920s and 1930s. The architectural style is a combination of Chinese and Western styles, which combines traditional Chinese gray plastic, Roman columns, arches, flower carvings and other architectural art, which is breathtaking.
