An old temple near Higashi Chaya Street
Original Text
When I went to Higashi Chaya District, I happened to pass by and stopped by. A small but quite interesting temple. It has a deep connection with Toshitsune Maeda, and it seems that the plaque is also enshrined. The Miwado hall in the Edo period is also worth a visit.
It is a temple located west of Higashi Chaya district. At that time, I simply took a light tour while taking a walk in the Chaya district, but I learned that it was a temple with the Karakuri Mido that I would go around later. There is a rotary library in the Mido on the left, and if you go around it, you will get the same benefit as reading all the sutras contained there. I'm sorry I missed it.
A temple related to toshitsune Maeda, the third Lord of Kaga domain

When I got off the bus at the nearest bus stop and headed for Higashi Chaya District, I found this temple, Enchoji. It is a small temple where you can see the temple right behind the gate. There was an explanation next to the gate. According to it, Toshitsune Maeda, the third feudal lord of the Kaga domain, used this temple as a small resting place when he hunted falcons around Mt. Utatsu. Due to that connection, it was a temple that still enshrines Toshitsune's ihai.
I headed for the Chaya district from "Hashibacho", the nearest bus stop in Higashi Chaya district. Enchoji Temple was built facing the road. From the gate, you can see the main hall where you can feel the history, and next to the gate was a wooden tag with a word written on it. According to it, Enchoji Temple is a temple of the Jodo Shinshu Otani school and was founded in 1586. According to the origin, it is said that Toshitsune Maeda, the third feudal lord of the Kaga domain, used this temple as a resting place when he visited falcon hunting.
When I passed in front of the temple, my grandfather asked me to "look at it" and told me. There is a hall between the main hall on the left side of the entrance. There is something like a Buddhist altar about 3 meters high, 6 or 8 square type. The main Buddha statue is Sanzo Hoshi, and the Buddha statue is enshrined every 1 corner, and the back is a bookcase! Old books are piled up all over the place. Sanzo Hoshi was very diligent and familiar with all Buddhism. And all of this book is about Buddhism ...
