This was a donation made by the family of Captain John Gaskin (Mayor of Kingston - 1882) in 1909. It was restored in 2010 to commemorate the 100 anniversary of the Ukrainian settlement in Kingston.

Interesting history explaining the Iron Gaskin Lion. Well kept and nicely located, It had a descriptive board explaining the history.

stopped for the heck of it as we saw it listed here on Tripadvisor....not really sure why it is there but it was a cute.
