Wonderful Evening Tour of Murals of La Jolla
Went on the wonderful FREE Murals of La Jolla tour through the Athenaeum. The guide was Lynda Forsha, the Executive Director of the project, so she had a wealth of information. Not only did we see wonderful works of art, but we also learned all the steps from how a wall is found/"acquired", to the picking of an artist, how an artist comes up with their work, the installation and its lifespan. I highly recommend this tour and am looking forward to maybe taking a class or two at the Athenaeum as well.
