The memorial hall is not big, it takes only half an hour to turn around, but this is the only and largest Laozi cultural special memorial hall in China. In the past, it was the ancestral temple for Zhenwu Emperor. It was on North Street, the most lively place in the old town.
In order to commemorate the great philosopher and thinker of ancient China, Luoyang City prepared the Laozi Memorial Hall of Luoyang Zushi Temple, a national key cultural relics protection unit on the North Street of the Old Town. On September 28, 2012, Luoyang Laozi Memorial Hall (formerly Luoyang Zushi Temple) officially opened, the only special exhibition hall of Laozi culture in China, and the largest Laozi cultural theme memorial hall in the country.
