This is a wonderful little find very close to the Zocalo. Joaquin Clausell was a Mexican impressionist painter - and in his studio he gradually painted small images over many years. It feels as if you're stepping into his subconscious - especcially when you take some time to look closely. No tourists in sight and it costs around $1.

The studio of this artist is a real jewel. Some of the rooms are full of paintings on the wall, from the roof to the floor, with pieces, color tests, portraits ... a real wonder. There are banks to be able to sit down to admire the work more in detail.
