Minamifuku Underground Dam, one of the underground dams on Miyakojima. A park is built on the dam. If you take a picture here and present it at the Underground Dam Museum, you will receive a dam card.

It is a park that I stopped by on the way back to the museum because I wanted to see the underground dam unique to Miyakojima. There are objects such as ponds and Miyako horses, and they are in very good condition.

If you take a picture here and show it to the underground dam museum, you will get a dam card. There was no one because the typhoon hit directly. It's a pity that there was no water and it was dry. But the maniac heart is filled.

There seems to be a dam in the basement of this park, and there is a facility to observe the water level. After crossing the fountain, you will reach the square where there are statues of horses and cows. There are guide panels here and there, but I can't read them because they seem to be not maintained. There was an introduction saying that he was a pioneer in the construction of an underground dam, but it is a pity. Thinking about the time when the dam was completed, I think it is a park that should be more cherished.

Showa 52 The world's first full-fledged underground dam was built in the year. It is a dam that stores water in the underground limestone built by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries for agricultural water. It seems that cement was injected into the basement by bowling to build a levee body, and you can see the water stop wall in the basement here.
