Stonestone
Original Text
This is a stone monument at the corner of the intersection of Yanagi Kaido and Naeki-dori. Meiji Bridge is the first bridge in Nagoya that leads from the current Meiji Station Minami 1-chome (former Negi Town) to Taiko 1-chome (former Makino Town), and it seems that it opened as a new road on March 31, 1884.
I didn't think it was a very meaningful mark, but I recently searched online and found out that it was indispensable to talk about the history of Nagoya. You can see it slowly because there are few people.
I didn't notice it when I passed last time, but it's around the intersection of Sasashima. It seems that a bridge was built from the latter half of the Meiji era to the beginning of the Showa era, and it played an important role.

it's hard to understand.
I think it's in a very difficult place to understand unless you look for it consciously. There are only a few stone monuments that are not so big ...
It's not noticeable at all.

Meiji Bridge Cross-line Bridge
This road should have been taken over and over again, but I never noticed that there was this "Meijibashi Bridge Ruins".
