The surrounding countryside that benefited from irrigation water was beautiful. On both sides of the road leading straight from the national highway to the lake, paddy fields and soba fields spread, and the side of the road where small golden rice ears and pure white flowers were in full bloom was in full bloom. It was a place where you can enjoy not only the lake but also the surrounding scenery.
The cycling course looks good.
Although it is a lake in Obanazawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, it is an artificial lake built in the Taisho era for irrigation. There is also a day trip hot spring facility Hanagasa no Yu nearby. Yoshino cherry blossoms bloom and are lit up during the cherry blossom season. There are also campsites and parks.
