Speaking of the observation spot on Kashiwajima, Mt. Odoyama is famous, but it is difficult to go there. On the other hand, since it is located along the former prefectural road, the road is not steep and you can easily go there. The access road is now quiet because the tunnel has opened, and the road in front of the rest area has almost no cars passing through. You can see Kashiwajima well from the observatory.
I stopped by by rental car before going to Kashiwajima. When I was thinking of going to the observatory near here and seeing the monkeys, I came here because the road to the observatory was broken due to the heavy rain the other day and the traffic was closed. Kashiwajima and offshore islands seen from here were superb views. There is no space that seems to be a decent parking lot, so it seems that the correct answer is to park on the road. When heading from here to Kashiwajima, I was able to encounter several wild monkeys on the roadside.
I went to Kashiwajima to see the beautiful sunset, but there was no place to park the car and I couldn't get inside so much, so I turned back a little and stopped by here. You can see the sunset beautifully on the mountainside. There are only two parking lots, so it won't be crowded, but it may not be stopped. No one came because I stopped by on weekdays.
