Old Temple with beautiful lotus pond
Old Temple on the outskirts of Ogi. While Temple building itself is unimpressive, there's a beautiful pond with tonnes of lotus and a seat out to relax. Worth visiting if you are around as this is vi...

Original Text
Kobie-san Rengebuji Temple is a temple of the Shingon sect Chiyama school located in Kobiei, Sado City, Niigata Prefecture. The principal image is said to be the founder of shokannon bosatsu Kukai, and it is considered to be one of the three major sacred places of Shingon along with Kongo Ji Temple and Muro Ji Temple. It is also called Hydrangea Temple because the 7,000 hydrangeas bloom all at once. On July 3, 2021, I visited Watatsu Shrine on this day ...
It was also known as Hydrangea Temple and it was just the season. The colorful hydrangeas are splendidly adorned with Kobodo, Kindo, Bondo and other atmospheric buildings in the background, which is quite spectacular.
From 6 to 7 in the season, a group of hydrangeas raised by locals will bloom large flowers. Colorful hydrangeas are in bloom everywhere on the right and left, and the contrast with the temple building is beautiful.
7 Although it was early in the month, the hydrangea was in full bloom. The temple building was also old and nice, and I was going to see only the hydrangea at the entrance, but I went to the back to see it. A large amount of hydrangea was planted in a very quiet space, which was spectacular.

The hydrangea was wonderful.
