Come for the views
Spectacular views over both sides of the peninsula, to Ithaca and down over Antisamos beach. The monastery itself was closed when we visited at approx 4pm
Peaceful
This place is very peaceful and has a beautiful little church newly renovated. One can not get into the monastry - the gates were locked, and the place looked abandoned.
I loved the bells!

Tranquil Location & Panoramic Views
We walked up to the monastery from Sami which took about 70 mins, the location is off the main road and peaceful, with the trees and plants around the grounds adding to the location and you. From ther...

Views are spectacular over anti Samos beach and ithica . Well worth a stop off to admire the scenery
