Nanhua Temple is located in the southeastern part of Caoxi, 7km southeast of Maba Town, Qujiang District, Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, about 24km south of Shaoguan City, people called "Dongguan first treasure temple". Nanhua Temple is one of the famous Buddhist temples in China. The famous Buddhist temple of Zen is the birthplace of the Zen Sixth ancestor Huineng, who was the founder of Zen. The Nanhua Temple was built in the first year of the Emperor Liang Wu's Tianjian (502) in the Southern and Southern Dynasties. The temple was built in the third year of Tianjian, and the name of Baolin Temple was given by Emperor Liang Wu. Later, it was renamed 'chuko Ji Temple' and 'hosen Ji Temple' and was given 'Nanhua Zen Ji Temple' by the founder of the Song Dynasty in 968. The building area of Nanhua Temple is more than 12,000 square meters, composed of Caoxi Gate, Fangsheng Lake, Horin Gate, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, Tibetan Temple, Reisho Tower, Six Dian and other buildings. Except for the Reisho Tower and Six Dian, the building was rebuilt after 1934 by the imaginary clouds monk.
