Kiyotaki Pass is located on the old road of National Highway 163. The national highway is a tunnel and bicycles are not allowed to pass, so you inevitably have to climb the pass. Be careful as it will be an unexpectedly harsh slope if you lick it. Improvement work is underway on Route 163, so please be careful when running.
I can't take good pictures on my mobile phone. There is nothing. I think it's dangerous to stop the car. Is it about cycling or hiking in the daytime? There is no sidewalk, so it's dangerous.
It is the northernmost pass that exceeds the Ikoma mountain system among the ancient highways connecting Osaka and Nara. The altitude is less than half of the altitude of 245m and Mt. Ikoma, and it is also an easy pass to cross. The view from the middle of the climb is good on the Osaka side, and is this a pass on the Nara side? There is so little difference in altitude that you will get off in no time. There are private houses and universities up to the middle of the Osaka side, and there are houses on the Ikoma side, and it is a fairly busy pass with regular buses that go to and from them.
