Simple and Over Quickly
The plaque and sign are in Japanese. There’s no interpretation in English, Chinese, etc. Hard to tell what it is about. Just two figures on a stone. Not so interesting unless you know the background.
Didn't know this statue of child & mother was significant - I just happened upon it when in the park area by the Ropeway. It's close to the telecommunications tower at the top of Nihondaira Park.
A monument named after "Red Shoes" written by Yujo Noguchi. I've seen this girl's monument in Yokohama before, but I didn't know that this story was a real story.
I happened to go to the Nihondaira Ropeway first from the parking lot without going to the building of the dream terrace, so I decided to pass in front of this. At first, it was "What?", Next, "Why here?", but it was enough to read the origin. I also thought that the installation location was subtle.
I thought it was a cute song, but I was full of sadness about the story of the very sad parents and children. I can see it from the dream terrace, but I thought the location was different from before.

Under the dream terrace building

I used to sing when I was a kid.
