Xinhai Revolution Museum

The museum, near the Yellow Crane Tower, was built to commemorate the 1911 Revolution and is open for free. The exterior of the museum is a V-shaped building. The interior is mainly an exhibition space on the ground floor and three floors. It displays the history of the late Qing Dynasty to the establishment of New China, indicating the cause and significance of the Xinhai Revolution, and sending a message to the new future. Very meaningful museum, it is worth a good visit.

The Xinhai Revolution Museum is a special museum built in Wuhan to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution Wuchang Shouyi. It is located at No. 258 Peng Liuyang Road, Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It is near Peng Liuyang Road in the north, Zhangzhidong Road in the south, Chushan Street in the east, and Sports Street in the west. The total construction area of 22,142 square meters is the core building of the Shouyi Cultural District, and the bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen, Baijiangtai bronze statue, and the Martyrs' Archway are the same as an axis. Construction of the Xinhai Revolution Museum began in August 2009 and was completed in September 2011, and opened to the public free of charge from October 15, 2011. According to the official website of the Xinhai Revolution Museum on April 7, 2020, the Xinhai Revolution Museum displayed a total of 428 pieces (sets) of historical relics of the Xinhai Revolution, 694 historical photos, and 27 restoration scenes of major historical events, 12 artworks, and 20 multimedia. The Revolutionary Museum of Xinhai has won the honorary titles of the National Defense Education Demonstration Base, Wuhan City's Advanced Unit for Cultural Work Performance Management in 2011, and the Luban Award for China Construction Project (National Quality Project) in 2012. In 2020, the Revolutionary Museum of Xinhai was selected as the "Fourth batch of national second-level museums list".
