The former residence of Yuan Shikai is located in Dongzhai Village, Wangmingkou Township, 17 kilometers southeast of Xiangcheng City, Zhoukou City, Henan Province. The former residence covers an area of 270 mu, and has 248 buildings with Ming and Qing characteristics and traditional styles. It is surrounded by 1800 meters long and more than 10 meters high village walls, 6 artillery buildings and three moats. The old residence is arranged according to the three axis of the middle, east and west, divided into three deep courtyards in the east and west, and the courtyard is quiet and connected, forming a complete and unique architectural complex. The complex is composed of traditional brick, wood, white and gray building materials, reflecting the characteristics of ancient Chinese architecture. The roof of the house, there are lions, tigers, leopards, horses, monkeys and other brick carvings, four corners of the towering tower, decorated with dragon-printed beast tip, straight to the sky, magnificent.

The Xianfu of Xiangcheng Yuanjiazhai was founded in the years of Qingxianfeng. Because Yuan Shikai was born here, his reputation has increased. It is currently open as a tourist attraction. There are also introductions about Yuan Shikai and Beiyang warlords. The tickets are not expensive and the price is high.
