In May 1957, Hu Chengzhi of the Ministry of Geology Exhibition Hall (now the China Geological Museum) found a small reptile fossil similar to a lizard in the Langmu Mountain of Dingxiao Dazhai, Xingyi City, a mysterious fossil of paleontology that attracted his keen interest, collecting eight fossils and bringing them back to Beijing. Mr. Yang Zhongjian, a famous paleontologist at the Institute of Paleovertebrate and Paleohuman Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, identified a new genus of the scorpion of the scorpion, and named it "Hu's Guizhou Dragon". The discovery of the fossil of "Hu's Guizhou Dragon" opened a chapter on ancient times, and also made Xingyi famous from China and abroad.
