A taste of old Japan
What a great place to visit. All the charm of the old Japan and great choice of onsens. Had dinner at a small restaurant that felt like we were dining at someone’s home. Loved it. Close to ski fie...
I think it's limited to weekends, but candles are lit up the stairs up the shrine. It creates a fantastic atmosphere. If you pay as a donation to the Great East Japan Earthquake, one candle in the cup will be placed on the stairs. The more donations, the more candles will be. I'm interested in revitalizing the town, thinking about it ~.
From Shibu Onsen, go up the stone steps to Takayakushi. From there, you can reach it by further going through the mountains on the promenade. I was quite tired, but I was calm because it was a very quiet precinct. It is a hidden spot of Shibu Onsen.
It is located on the stone steps in front of Shibuoyu and further up the promenade from Takayakushi. By the way, I arrived from Bishamonten. Next door is Tenmangu Shrine. I don't think you'll know if you don't walk on the promenade because it's located in the forest. The current shrine was renovated in 1945, and it feels smaller than the nearby Bishamonten, but it was a shrine where you could feel the humidity probably because it was not sunny. It's on the mountainside, so I wonder if you should refrain from worshiping in geta.
